With her surrogate’s due date fast approaching, Kim Kardashian splashes out on OTT celebrations, a flashy nursery and treats herself to more surgery
Her third baby is H due any day now via surrogate and pals say Kim Kardashian has gone into spending overdrive – arranging a £200k “welcome to the world” party and splashing out another £300k on a lavish nursery, complete with flashy toys, and another £100k on a designer wardrobe.
And the star is also preparing her children, North, four, and Saint, two, for their new sibling by arranging sessions with child development experts, costing £60k, and overhauling her body with £80k worth of surgery.
When North was born, Kim, 37, and her husband Kanye West, 40, splashed out on a £3m “house hospital” at their mansion with a team of top pediatric doctors on round-the-clock call.
A source says, “As Kim hasn’t been able to carry the baby, it’s made her go even more extreme with her spending as she feels like she has to over-compensate.
DESIGNER SPA
“She’s hosting a lavish party for her new arrival at their Hidden Hills home and has had the family’s party planner, Mindy Weiss, and her floral designer, Jeff Leatham, create a magical global theme. Their entire garden will be staged as different parts of the world – with sushi chefs being flown in from Japan, an Alice In Wonderland tea party, a mini safari with African wildlife and dancers from Peru. Meanwhile, every guest will be gifted a solid gold charm with the newborn’s initials engraved on it.
“Kim’s also had a baby spa created in the house with a livein masseuse, plus a special yoga studio and pool for infants.
“All the nursery furniture has been handmade and flown in from Italy. Kim’s been calling in only the best baby clothes from her favourite designers, such as Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana.”
Friends say the reality star has been worried about the impact their third child could have on North and Saint, so she’s hired a team of top experts to help them adjust to their new sibling.
An insider reveals, “North didn’t take too well to Saint when he was born, so Kim’s flown in a team of childhood development experts from New York. They’ll be working with the kids daily for the first three months after the baby’s birth to help them adjust.”
And to ensure all eyes are on her when Kim introduces her third baby – as her sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner continue to dominate headlines with their pregnancies – pals say Kim is planning more surgery.
BODY OVERHAUL
Insiders say Kim – who has been rumoured to have had multiple boob jobs – is treating herself to £80k worth of work.
The source adds, “Kim wants a boob job to take her from her current size 32D to a DD, as well as an uplift as she wants to give them a ‘subtle boost’. She also wants thigh-gap surgery as she hates the fact her upper thighs often rub together, as well as chin implants to make her face look even more chiselled and defined. She’s booked herself in for a ‘spring makeover’ in March, when the baby will be a couple of months old. She can’t wait to be a mum again, as well as show-off her new image to all her fans. She wants everyone to be talking about her and her new addition and thinks surgery is the way to take the attention away from her sisters.”
