I’M PROUD OF...THE bullying storyline portrayed by my character, Esther, in Hollyoaks. It got viewers talking and, four years on, people still tell me it helped them. It’s great to know it made a difference. I’VE LEARNED... To treat everyone equally. Homelessness is so prevalent in Manchester, so I regularly head into town or visit a homeless centre to try to get to know the people who live on the streets. I REGRET... Not learning to play an instrument. I started to play the violin when I was younger, but people around me labelled it as “uncool”, so I quit. That’s taught me not to be influenced by others. THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN... Was from Sophie Austen, my former colleague on Hollyoaks. She told me to “Feel the fear and do it anyway.”
