Posh: “I always know what David’s up to”

After shooting down those divorce rumours, friends say Victoria has told David that their only option is to stick closely together

They ensured they T put on a united display at the Kent & Curwen fashion show last week, just two days after being forced to deny yet another spate of divorce rumours – despite arriving separately and not being seated next to each other.

And as Victoria Beckham, 44, gushed about her husband, David, 43, in a string of social media posts following the event, pals say the mum-of-four is more determined than ever to show the world that her marriage is solid.

A source says, “Vic was really thrown by the latest drama and it pushed her into crisis mode, with her insisting she’ll go allout to prove she and David are stronger than ever.

DAMAGE CONTROL

“After all the rumours, Vic was nervous before the fashion show – they went over an action plan to make it clear to everyone that their marriage is solid. She warned him not to do anything that might suggest they weren’t in a good place.”

The couple – who’ll celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary in July – have suffered a string of alleged issues over the past year, with increasingly hectic schedules meaning they’ve spent weeks apart. David’s partying with other women, including model Poppy Delevingne and socialite Lady Mary Charteris, has added to the speculation – although there is no suggestion he has done anything wrong. And as the footballer spends an increasing amount of time in Miami to focus on his MLS soccer team, they will have even less time together.

As Closer reported last week, the latest split claims – which they slammed as a “crock of sh*t” – have riled the designer, who’s frustrated by the constant backlash from trolls. Following their recent shows of togetherness, fans blasted them as false.

One critic said, “They won’t be divorcing soon – they wouldn’t want to ruin the Beckham brand. Doubt they share the same bed.” Another said, “Ah bless, all for a bit of PR – looks like it worked!”

In 2004, following allegations that David had had an affair with his former PA, Rebecca Loos, the couple were snapped on a skiing holiday, with David giving her a piggyback. Now, pals say Posh is again fighting back with a show of unity.

The source says, “She’s told David they need to be on the same page – posting similar things on social media and being seen out on dates as much as possible, which David agreed with. She insisted she won’t let them fall apart because of the upset the rumours have caused.”

In a newspaper article last week, insiders revealed how Victoria allegedly makes pointed moves to show her feelings. In 2015, she didn’t attend David’s good friend Guy Ritchie’s wedding, amid rumours of

marital tension. And she’s never visited David in Miami – with reports claiming it’s because of her feud with his best pal David Gardner, who co-owns the club and spends a lot of time with him.

Yet pals tell Closer that, while they may spend a lot of time apart, Posh is always aware of David’s whereabouts. Other women The source says, “There’s complete clarity between them. They lead parallel lives because of their careers and it’s something they’ve become used to over the years. They’re constantly in contact via Facetime and by text, and Vic says she always knows what David is up to.

“Vic’s always there to pick up the pieces when the rumours start after he’s been on a night out and is seen chatting to other women. She knows he likes to socialise and she’ll wake up to warning texts from him about possible snaps, which are perfectly innocent but create gossip. It’s exhausting, but it’s something they’ve had to learn to deal with over the years, or they’d have crumbled by now.”

Meanwhile, as the couple’s son, Brooklyn, 19, was snapped at the French Open alongside his brother, Romeo, 15, friends say Posh has asked him to help out with his siblings, including Cruz, 13, and Harper, six.

The pal adds, “With David jetting back and forth from Miami, Brooklyn has offered to be more hands-on with his siblings when he’s not studying in New York. They’re adamant that, no matter how hard things get, they won’t let anything tear apart their tight family unit.”
