Kim sets her sights in being the First Lady

The reality star is busy carving out a new career path as pals say she’s excitedly plotting her move to the White House

Visiting a V women’s prison in California last week, Kim Kardashian stepped out of her glamorous reality star role as she listened to inmates’ stories about their lives behind bars, and offered advice about fitting back into society upon their release.

Her visit followed a meeting with US President Donald Trump last month to discuss prison reform. Kim, 37, asked for prisoner Alice Marie Johnson, 62 – who was serving a life sentence for a first-time non-violent drug offence – to be released, which was granted a week later.

And pals say her latest move into the political sphere is all part of her preparation to be America’s next First Lady as her rapper husband Kanye West, 41, continues his bizarre bid to become president.

A source says, “Kim is dreaming of being the next Michelle Obama and becoming the most loved and powerful woman on earth. Although it’s six years before Kanye can stand for election, she knows she has to start preparing now by creating a more serious image. She’s already setting the plan in motion and has been genning up on a host of political issues, picking out topics she wants to focus on once Kanye is in power, as well as choosing a new team to join her at The White House and remodelling herself as the perfect wife and mother.”

Kanye sparked fresh rumours he was set to run for presidency in April this year, simply Tweeting “2024”, after initially vowing to run for office during his shock speech at the MTV Awards in 2015.

Kanye met President Trump – who visited the UK last week – shortly after he was elected into office in 2016 and showed his support to the controversial leader. With Trump tipped to run for President again in 2020, the next opening for Kanye would be the 2024 election. And now pals say mum-of-three Kim – who did a photoshoot last year dressed as Jackie Kennedy – is preparing for life in office by studying past famous First Ladies.

The source says, “Kim’s become obsessed by previous First Ladies – swatting up on every detail, from the issues they fought for to their fashion choices. She says she’d love to become a style icon, like Jackie Kennedy – even reaching out to various stylists and interviewing for a new “White House glam squad” so she can set the wheels in motion.”

Reality star Kim, who’s worth a reported £140m, describes herself as a businesswoman – despite shooting to fame in 2007 after a leaked sex tape. Closer has previously reported how she fears her sex symbol days are numbered, so pals say she’s now focusing on carving out a future as a political and style icon.

The source adds, “Kim knows she can’t continue to flaunt her body with selfies for much longer and needs to focus on the next step to ensure she doesn’t fizzle out. She can’t wait for the future and to cement her new role on a world platform, where she can be more respected and valued – and prove she’s more than just a reality star.”
