Fans fear for Marnie after bum lift
She’s admitted to battling body dysmorphia, now fans express concern as Marnie Simpson reveals new cosmetic work
She’s no stranger S to plastic surgery, having undergone multiple enhancements including a boob lift, nose job, liposuction, Botox and lip and facial fillers. But last week, Marnie Simpson’s obsession with perfection went a step further when she flaunted her new, more pert bottom.
Last month, Marnie shared a video on Instagram of her getting a bum lift, saying, “I’ve been to elite before for the BBL, so I know the situation.” BBL is short for Brazilian Butt Lift – where fat from other areas in the body is removed and injected into the rear.
Fans were quick to comment that reality star Marnie, 26, had risked her once natural good looks, and urged her to stop. One wrote, “You were beautiful before, why would you do this?” While another posted, “You looked so much better before.”
Earlier this month, Marnie revealed she’d had a second corrective nose job after she was left “struggling to breathe”.
She went on to joke last week that she couldn’t be recognised when going through passport control, posting a photo of herself in the airport with the caption, “When you don’t match your passport picture any more.”
NEVER HAPPY
Marnie has admitted to worrying about her looks since first appearing on Geordie Shore in 2013. She confessed last year, “I don’t think I’ll ever be happy with how I look. I’ve got body dysmorphia. I don’t know what’s triggered it, but I think it must be surgery. After changing one thing about myself, I’ll look in the mirror and see a fault I never noticed before.”
Just last year, she admitted her regret over her lengthy list of surgical procedures, insisting, “I know I went overboard with my lips; and with liposuction. I’ve ruined my looks.”
UNFLATTERING PHOTOS
Three months ago, Marnie was forced to hit back at cruel body shamers when unflattering photos of her surfaced on holiday with boyfriend Casey Johnson – showing her 2st weight gain. Trolls called the star “huge” and even compared her to an elephant. Marnie responded, Tweeting, “I’ve gained a little bit of weight filming Geordie Shore please give me a break.”
Earlier this year, the size 12 star told Closer she still struggles to accept her looks. She said, “As a young girl, you are going to have insecurities, and then you get trolled on social media and it can be really hard. I feel sorry for young girls… I feel I do have a duty to be a role model, but I’m not perfect – it’s hard when I’m still growing and learning myself.”
