Brian: “I have no interest in Kerry’s lifestyle” 40

Former Westlife star Brian Mcfadden opens up about his famous exes, Kerry Katona and Vogue Williams, and his focus on fatherhood

-

After enduring a series of A public spats since their shock 2004 marriage split, Brian Mcfadden revealed in December that he was planning to spend Christmas with his ex-wife Kerry Katona and their two daughters, Molly, 16, and Lilly-sue, 15.

But chatting to Closer, the former Westlife star now says he has no interest in the mother of his children’s personal life.

Last month, Kerry – who recently revealed she was nine years clean from drugs after a well-publicised battle – was photographed looking sensational in a bikini in Marbella, after losing half a stone in just six days at a holistic boot camp.

But Brian, 38, insists his only concern is that Kerry, 37 – who he admitted to cheating on with a stripper on his stag do – is a present mum to his two daughters.

REMAINING CIVIL

He says, “I have no interest in her lifestyle – we just talk about the kids. As a mother of my kids she’s in a good place, the kids are happy and she is a good mum. You move on and have your own lives… Why would you want to talk to your ex? If you wanted to talk to each other, you would still be together.

“I talk to Kerry like the mother of my children, I don’t go, ‘Hey babe, how are you doing?’ We’re not all chatty with one another.”

While he was a member of popular boyband Westlife and she was one third of Atomic Kitten, as well as being crowned Queen of the Jungle, Brian and Kerry were the couple of the moment in the early 2000s. After meeting while their bands were both on tour in 1999, the pair began dating, and Brian proposed just three months later.

But after three years of dating and two years of marriage, their relationship went sour and the couple called it quits in 2004 – with Kerry later claiming that Brian ended their relationship over the phone.

While Kerry subsequently moved on with Mark Croft and then George Kay, Brian dated Australian singer Deltra Goodrem for seven years, before marrying model Vogue Williams in 2012.

But that relationship too came crashing down and the pair divorced in 2015. Vogue is now married and expecting a baby with Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, while Brian is happily loved-up with his PE teacher girlfriend Danielle Parkinson, whom he has been dating since 2016.

PUPPY LOVE

And while both he and Vogue have moved on, Brian admits that the pair no longer talk and that he’s still heartbroken over losing custody of their dog, Winston.

He explains, “I don’t speak to Vogue any more, either. It’s pointless. She is married now and is having a baby. I am delighted for her and I hope she has a lovely family. He

BOTOX: “I had it once. I got a little bit above my eyes, but my face wouldn’t move. The wrinkles had gone from my forehead, but I didn’t look great. I looked like some of these people in TOWIE and they kind of look like a melted candle. So no more Botox for me! I’m going to try to age gracefully now.”

HEALTHY EATING: “Every time Boyzlife [his act with former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy] tour, we put on at least 1st each. All we do every night after the gig is drink red wine and vodka and eat. We buy two different size suits. We have one that lasts the first half of the tour, then we change to a size up. I love my food too much. The eating healthy thing just doesn’t work for me.”

A WESTLIFE REUNION: “I can see the four members of Westlife getting back together, but I find it very hard to see the five of us doing it. After I left, they became a different band. I don’t really stay in touch with them. Everything’s fine when we bump into each other – there’s no negativity.”
