Fears for “fragile” Charlotte
As Charlotte Crosby breaks down over bullying claims, her inner circle worry about her state of mind
he’s known S for her feisty personality and wild outbursts, but Charlotte Crosby sparked concern last week when she posted a video of herself crying after being accused of bullying by Love Island star Dr Alex George’s family – following her Tweets about his “vile pink face” and “wooden plank personality”.
The former Geordie Shore star, 28, couldn’t contain her emotions as she posted the tearful video on Instagram in a bid to defend herself against trolls, telling them, “Everyone knows me and they know I’m not a bully.”
HORRIBLE COMMENTS
But insiders say Charlotte’s bizarre rant has sparked concern for her state of mind among her inner circle.
A source reveals, “Charlotte was beside herself after the criticism from Dr Alex’s family, and was stunned by the backlash it caused with thousands of horrible comments. It’s really knocked her confidence. She’s suffered trolling for years, so her friends assumed she’d take it in her stride – but they were shocked to see how fragile she seemed afterwards.”
Charlotte’s emotional outburst follows a difficult few months. In March, she was filmed crying on her reality series The Charlotte Show after learning that on-off flame and former Geordie Shore co-star Gaz Beadle, 30, had welcomed a son with girlfriend Emma Mcvey. Reality star Charlotte opened up last year about the heartbreaking ectopic pregnancy she suffered in 2016 while Gaz was in Thailand – a situation that was made even more painful after she found out he’d cheated on her with a string of women.

She was then forced to defend her romance with her boyfriend of eight months, Ex On The Beach star Joshua Ritchie, when the pair were filmed having a furious row in St Lucia.
Charlotte – who transformed her figure in 2015 when she slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 8 – also insisted last year that she’d turned her back on partying and boozing, saying, “Drinking isn’t for me.” But she has appeared to revert to her partying ways and was recently snapped looking worse for wear as she stumbled out of a kebab shop in Berlin with friends.
The source adds, “Whenever Charlotte feels down or stressed, she parties to take her mind off things. She’s had an emotional few months, dealing with the Gaz baby news and some rocky moments in her romance with Joshua. But friends are urging her to deal with it in a healthier way. They know she’s happiest when she’s focusing on her fitness and spending low-key time with friends and family.”
