emma Warren met her G boyfriend James North on Naked Attraction last year – and the loved-up pair are already talking about tying the knot.
Gemma, 25, a beauty therapist who lives in Littlehampton with her twin daughters, Isabelle and Imogen, five, says, “I’d seen the show before and was talking about it with friends. We decided it sounded fun, so I applied. I knew I’d have to get naked, but my family and friends were supportive.
“When I found out I’d been chosen, I was more excited than nervous. My previous experiences with men had been horrendous. I’d dated a guy who turned out to be gay, been cheated on and my last boyfriend moved to Australia. I was fed up with dating apps and felt I deserved some luck!”
After inspecting potential suitors’ bodies, Gemma turned down one man as she found the loose skin around his testicles off-putting. However, she liked 28-year-old joiner James’ “peachy” bum and, when they got to meet in the flesh, they hit it off.
Gemma says, “I kept catching his eye and he’d smile at me. It was like we had a connection. He seemed genuine and, when I got naked and we hugged, it wasn’t awkward. He complimented my body, which gave me a confidence boost as I was worried I didn’t look as good after having kids.”
She adds, “Our first date was amazing and we began to text all the time. After four weeks of messaging, I invited him on holiday with my family. It was a risk, but I decided that if we didn’t enjoy our time together, I’d know it wasn’t meant to be.”
Luckily, James got on with everyone, including her daughters. She says, “They get on like a house on fire and my family find the way we met hilarious. We’re hoping to move in together next year and marry one day.”
And Gemma recommends the show. She says, “It may seem mad that I saw my boyfriend naked before I knew anything about him, but it worked and we’re so happy. It’s good to see each other naked first – you don’t have to worry later on about whether they’ll fancy you!”
