YOU CAN TAKE ACTION

-

Need help with a neighbour? Amy Hughes, housing expert at the Citizens Advice Bureau, explains your options… ● If you’re being harassed because of your religion, race, gender, sexuality or disability, report it as a hate crime. If your neighbour is violent, tell the police. ● A mediator may be able to help you and your neighbour come up with a solution. If you’re a council or housing association tenant, they may have their own mediator. ● Ask your neighbour’s landlord to speak to them on your behalf. If your neighbour lives in social housing, their landlord should have a policy for dealing with antisocial behaviour. ● Your council might be able to help. Visit their website for more information. ● If you’ve tried everything, ask for a Community Trigger – a process where the council can work with the police to come up with an action plan.
