Chloe: “Surgery has given me body dysmorphia”
Reality star Chloe Ferry says that going under the knife has actually fed her deep insecurities about her appearance
There’s no denying that Chloe T Ferry has transformed her look since first appearing on Geordie Shore in 2015 – having surgery worth £50K on her breasts, nose, lips, cheeks and chin, all by the age of just 23.
And while the reality star recently defended herself against her decision to boost her bum with a Brazilian butt lift, insisting, “It’s my body, and it’s what I want to do with it” – she now admits to taking things too far in her quest for perfection.
BODY HANG-UPS
“I am actually a really unconfident person,” Chloe reveals. “I don’t think anyone knows that about me. I suffer from really bad body dysmorphia.
“People say I look good, but I don’t think that I do. I look in the mirror and think I look f***ing minging.”
Chloe reveals her negative perception of herself began when she had a nose job in 2016, saying the procedure actually made her feel more insecure about her body.
She says, “It’s ever since I started having surgery that I’ve felt like this, and maybe after some of the negative comments. I didn’t have body dysmorphia before Geordie Shore. I would say it’s happened since I started getting surgery – I think that’s what’s created it.
“People also comment that I’m ugly on my photos every single day. Going public about my surgery is the worst mistake I’ve made in my entire life because so many people criticise me online. I do sometimes cry over the negative comments.”
And the star tells Closer that she has even been considering getting professional help to deal with her body issues.
“I do think that I look better than I used to,” she says. “I don’t know what it is that’s wrong. That’s why I think I need to talk to someone about it.”
Ruling out any future ops, Chloe insists, “I’m never having any more. People think that I’ve had loads of surgery, but I haven’t. I’ve had one nose job, I’ve had lipo, and I’ve had implants and a breast uplift.” But while she’s drawing a line under more procedures, Chloe admits that she’ll continue with fillers and injectables.
Earlier this year, fans rushed to her defence after cruel trolls said her new chin fillers made her look like a clown. But Chloe
In 2014, has no regrets,
before saying, “Everyone
surgery gets filler done. It’s the in thing. The only reason people go on at me is because I like my lips big. People offer me free filler all the time, and I’m not going to turn down free lip fillers. You know what annoys me most? When people say, ‘Oh my God, you paid to look like that.’ No, I didn’t. I got it for free.”
FINDING HAPPINESS
Meanwhile, after failed romances with reality co-stars Scotty T and Marty Mckenna, Chloe appears to have finally found happiness with co-star Sam Gowland, 23, whom she began dating when he joined the MTV show in late 2017.
And she tells Closer that she’s hoping to start a family in the near future. She reveals, “I want two kids. I’ve been saying to Sam that sometime soon, I’m going to stop my contraception. It could happen any time – he wants a boy. I see myself in five years time away from Geordie Shore and this life, and on a beach with just my boyfriend and maybe two kids.”
