Sam and Billie:

“We work hard to look the way we do”

- By Anna Matheson

They looked sensational T as they shared snaps sporting bikinis and skimpy outfits on Billie’s hen do in Ibiza earlier this summer, but sisters Sam and Billie Faiers have admitted that keeping trim doesn’t come easily.

Sam, 27, and her older sister Billie, 28, found fame on reality show TOWIE, but the pair have since had two children each with their respective partners, and now star in their own reality show – The Mummy Diaries – following their lives as parents.

But for Sam, who shares Paul Tony, two, and baby Rosie, 11 months, with her boyfriend Paul Knightley, 30, and Billie, who has Nelly, four, and Arthur, 17 months, with fiancé Greg Shepherd, 29, having two children to look after means it’s not easy to maintain their size 8 figures.

Speaking to Closer, Sam says, “With Rosie, my second baby, I wasn’t terribly overweight, but I do feel like I found it a bit harder to shift the pounds. It was more about cutting back on chocolate and biscuits, and training three times a week. Right now, I do feel comfortable with my actual dress size, so it’s more about getting fit and toned.”

MAID OF HONOUR

The girls admit that dieting is always easier when they have something to aim for.

Sam adds, “Ibiza was such an amazing goal for us because we knew we were going to be in bikinis every day, but since coming home, I’ve gone off dieting a little bit. We’ll get back on it, though, because I want to feel my best in my maid of honour dress!”

Billie adds, “When you have a baby, there’s always more stubborn areas – like around your stomach. I really want to hire a personal trainer because I can be good with my eating if I really want to, but I never get into working out. Before my hen do, I was drinking loads of good juices and just eating really well. I’ll do the same with the lead-up to the wedding, but I do want to get toned.”

The girls explain that Billie’s hen do was also a chance for them both to spend some quality time with their girlfriends – most of whom are also mums.

And fans were pleased to see that their ex TOWIE co-star Ferne Mccann seemed to be back in the fold and having fun with the girls in Ibiza after rumours of a rift with Sam last year. Sam previously admitted that she and Ferne “hadn’t seen eye to eye”, and Ferne, 28 – who last year had a baby with acid attacker Arthur Collins – claimed the feud was due to jealousy that she was getting her own reality show with daughter Sunday, 11 months.

But now, it seems as though their friendship is back on track as the girls were pictured smiling together at Billie’s hen do. Billie says, “Ferne was there and everything’s fine. We had such a good time. Most of us are mums, so it was just an excuse to let our hair down, and we had so much fun.”

Sam adds, “The last time we had a girls’ trip was to Vegas before we all had kids. I think I was like 22 – it was years ago. It was so nice for us all to get together and let our hair down, and our mum and auntie were there, too. We laughed, danced, sung, and sunbathed – the minute we got to the airport, we all just had the best time.”

BABY PLANS

And while Billie is busy planning her wedding to Greg next spring, Sam is considering when she’ll be ready to try for baby number three.

She says, “I’d love a third child, but

I think I might wait until little Paul’s started school. I’m really enjoying them both now, and I can give them so much of my time. I feel like if there were a third one, it would split my time even more.

“But Paul’s such a great dad – he and little Paul are the best of friends, and they laugh and go out together. I’m lucky he’s so good as I wouldn’t be able to do half the things I do in terms of work without him.”

And while Billie is keeping tight-lipped about where her wedding will be taking place, she has revealed that it will be somewhere abroad next spring.

She adds, “We’ve got so much to do and get sorted, but we have got a date and I’ve got my dress, which I’m really excited about! It’s just the final stages of planning over the next few months.”

CATCHING UP

And while the pair are both busy working mums, they admit they jump at the chance to have a child-free night every so often.

Billie explains, “We work a lot. I think we just juggle all the time. When we do get a night out together – which is very rare – we really do enjoy it. Like on my hen do with the girls, or when we went out for dinner with our mum recently – it was so nice to just catch up and have a laugh.” ● Sam And Billie Faiers: The Mummy Diaries, Wednesday 31 October, ITVBE, 9pm
