‘Megan is a lovely girl’
He’s the long-haired Lothario of Essex, and last week Pete Wicks was embroiled in drama after reports he’d spent the night with Love Island star Megan Barton-hanson – who’s in a relationship with co-star Wes Nelson. Megan, 24, and Pete, 30, partied until the early hours at strip club Stringfellows last week and were reported to have gone “missing” for a long period of time. But when Closer spoke to Pete at POB, he was quick to deny the rumours and insisted the two were just friends. He told us, “There were so many of us out and it wasn’t a wild night, like they’re saying. Megan is a lovely girl, but it’s a friendly thing. We met that night and I haven’t seen her since. I’m single and I’m really enjoying it.”
And Pete admits that as he celebrated his 30th birthday on Halloween, he should be looking to settle down with someone special. He says, “I’m getting a bit older, so I think it’s about trying to find the right person.”
