‘I’ve seen Gemma skating – she’s one to watch!’

He’ll be taking to the ice alongside reality star Gemma Collins on the next series of Dancing On Ice – and former Strictly pro James Jordan, 40, admitted to Closer that after seeing her in training, Gemma is one to watch. He said, “When I first saw her on the ice, I was impressed. She seemed quite competent – she’s one to watch. Her brother was an ice hockey player and she used to go to the ice rink.”

And like 37-year-old Gemma – who revealed she’d dropped a dress size in ten days – James told us he’s slimmed down since he started training, admitting he’s lost almost a stone since September. He said, “I’ve lost maybe ten kilos over the past two months. I wasn’t in shape for the show beforehand, so I’ve been running as well as training to lose weight.”

James added that he and his dancer wife Ola, 36 – to whom he’s been married for 15 years – are terrified he’ll injure himself on the ice. He said, “In the 30 years I’ve been dancing, I’ve been injured once – when Ola broke my nose mid-lift. But it’s different lifting someone on ice. I can’t imagine doing that at the moment.”
