JENNIE WELCOMES BABY GIRL
She’s starred on Corrie as Fiz Brown for over 17 years and, last week, actress Jennie Mcalpine seemed to honour the show by naming her baby after one of the soap’s best-loved characters.
Jennie – who had previously discussed her plans to give her baby a Corrie-inspired name – announced she’d given birth to a daughter named Hilda. There’s speculation the new arrival is named after Hilda Ogden, who was played by actress Jean Alexander – one of the show’s major stars for over 20 years before she was written out in 1984.
Jennie, 34, who also shares son Albert, three, with husband Chris Farr, revealed on Twitter, “Our newest addition arrived yesterday. Mummy and Daddy very happy. Big brother very proud of his little sister Hilda. We’re all in love.”
