NEW BRITAIN’S POPPIES: THE GREAT WAR REMEMBERED
LEST WE FORGET SUN 11 NOV, 9.30PM, ITV
Narrated by Sean Bean, this moving documentary marks the centenary of the end of the First World War by following the fouryear journey of the 800,000 ceramic poppies first installed at the Tower of London in 2014. The amazing art display, called The Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, is a tribute to the British and colonial lives lost during the 1914-18 war and captured the public’s imagination as it formed a “moat” around the Tower and became a huge visitor attraction.
