he’s just been on S a family holiday in Abu Dhabi with Rio Ferdinand’s three kids, and last week Kate Wright shared a snap with her Instagram followers to confirm the pair are engaged.
The couple have been dating since early 2017, with Kate stepping back from her role in TOWIE last year to focus on becoming a stepmother.
Football pundit Rio lost his first wife, Rebecca – mother of his children, Lorenz, 12, Tate, ten, and Tia, seven – in 2015 following a short battle with cancer.
The ex-footballer, who bravely released a documentary in 2017 about the struggles of becoming a single father, went on to find love again with Kate – who was previously linked to co-star Dan Edgar.
And after nearly two years of dating, Rio popped the question in front of his children while on holiday last week.
Sharing a touching picture of the family hugging, Kate, 27, wrote, “The perfect end to our holiday… How could the answer not be yes.”
While Rio, 39, shared his own snap, writing, “She said yes. How these three kids kept it a secret I’ll never know.”
