All by yourself? Not any more!
Do you ever feel gut-wrenchingly lonely? If so, then ironically, you are far from alone. We’ve discovered that Britain is in the grip of a loneliness epidemic which can, shockingly, be as harmful to health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Few people want to admit to feeling isolated, but unless we all acknowledge the problem, how can things improve? This week, we’ve spoken to women ranging in ages from their 20s to their 60s, who all confess to having felt desperately cut off. Yet their stories are inspiring as most of them have made big positive changes by taking a few small brave steps. So if you’re reading this and feeling a bit low, why not take yourself (and your favourite mag!) out for a coffee? As you’ll read on p18, this one simple thing could help turn your life around.
