‘OUR JOURNEY TO PARENTHOOD HAS BEEN HEARTBREAKING’

My wife Amelia, 42, and I were thrilled to discover we were expecting a baby girl earlier this year. It was our last shot, as we only had one embryo left following eight years of gruelling IVF treatments. Amelia suffered six miscarriages, including an ectopic pregnancy, after falling pregnant with twins. Our journey to parenthood has been full of so many hard times, but now I’m going to be a dad, I’m so excited. Even though, at 53, I’m a bit older than your average first-time father, I’m going to throw myself in head-first and even be a stay-at-home dad when Amelia returns to work as a record company executive.
