‘I delivered my granddaughter’
When socialite Jade Jagger became a grandmother at 42, she was weeks away from welcoming her third child.
Speaking about how she helped daughter Assisi, then 20, deliver Ezra in 2014, Jade said, “I delivered my first granddaughter myself… All of this might have been easier if I hadn’t been almost nine months pregnant myself.”
The following month, Ray was born, whom Jade shares with husband Adrian Fillary. She is also mum to Amba, 22.
As Rolling Stones Mick’s eldest daughter, Jade is one of eight – her youngest sibling Deveraux is just two. She added, “Once I wrapped my head around the idea of becoming a gran in my early forties – being pregnant at the same time as my daughter became a truly bonding experience.”
