CHOCOLATE HANGING OAT BALLS

280g butter, softened 400g rolled oats 150g icing sugar 3–4 heaped tbsp cocoa powder 4tbsp brewed coffee, cooled 1tsp vanilla sugar or 1-2tsp vanilla essence
Pearl sugar, desiccated coconut, chocolate sprinkles or hundreds and thousands STEP 1 Mix all the ingredients (except the decorations) in a bowl until you have a good, uniform mixture. You can use a stand mixer or do it by hand. STEP 2 Make equal-sized balls (usually the size of a walnut), then roll in your chosen covering before chilling in the fridge.
● Orange: For adults only. Add 2tbsp Cointreau and 1/2tsp finely grated orange zest to 200g of the mixture. ● Almond: Adults only. Add 2tbsp Amaretto to 200g of the mixture. ● Raspberry: Add 1tbsp raspberry jam to 200g of the mixture.
