‘I EAT QUALITY STREET FOR BREAKFAST!’
MORNING 12AM: This year I’ll be spending Christmas with my family as usual (Dani has just split from Jack Fincham, her boyfriend of five months, whom she met in the Love Island villa). My Christmas Day begins the night before. As a family, we go to sing Christmas carols at the local church, before heading home to order a Chinese takeaway. We’ll stay up talking until the early hours. Before bed, we’ll leave a mince pie out for Santa – my siblings are still young, so we like to keep the magic alive! 7AM: I wake up early, so I’d never go out clubbing the night before. I can’t imagine anything worse than waking up with a hangover on Christmas morning. 7.30AM: Christmas is all about being cosy, so I don’t actually get dressed. Instead, I’ll have a shower and then put on a fresh pair of festive PJS. But this year, my mum has said she wants to take a family Christmas photo, so I’ll wear a dress from my In The Style range for that! 8.30AM: We always drink Buck’s Fizz in the morning. I save my appetite for lunch, so will snack on Quality Street – I think it’s acceptable to eat chocolate for breakfast on Christmas Day! One year, my dad [actor Danny Dyer] tried to cook a posh version of mushrooms on toast for breakfast, but it was a total disaster so we stick to choccies now!
AFTERNOON 12PM: My mum’s the chef of the house, and although she moans about having to cook, I know she loves it really. We’ll have a massive roast with all the trimmings. We all help with prepping the veg and setting the table. 3PM: My family is obsessed with the royals, so every year we gather around the TV to watch the Queen’s speech. 5.30PM: Last year I was so busy enjoying myself that I didn’t open any presents until the afternoon. I love seeing everyone else’s reactions when they open their presents from me. I haven’t got a lot on my wish list, but I’m hoping to find some cosy socks, underwear and Jo Malone candles under the tree.
EVENING 7PM: In the evening we’ll eat leftover turkey sandwiches and watch a Christmas film. One of my favourite family traditions is to go around the room and say what goal we hope to achieve in the next year. 11PM: I never want Christmas to end, so I go to bed as late as possible. However, this year I’ll be performing in Nativity! The Musical on Boxing Day [with dad Danny at London’s Eventim Apollo] so I’ll need to be well rested. I won’t wear a lot of make-up on Christmas Day, but I’ll still give my face a good wash with the Dermalogica Pore Control Scrub before bed.
