Lisa to reveal divorce secrets
Following her bitter split from Ant Mcpartlin and her heartache over his new relationship, pals say Lisa Armstrong is ready to write a tell-all book
She suffered S a humiliating split in the glare of the spotlight, after ex-husband Ant Mcpartlin moved on with her former PA Anne-marie Corbett. Now sources say Lisa Armstrong, 42, has been “pushed to the brink” by reports the couple are set to get engaged – and is keen to tell her side of the story.
Lisa – who reportedly received a legal warning over liking and retweeting negative posts about mum-of-two Anne-marie – last week replied to a Tweet by actress Sheridan Smith, which read, “I seriously wonder how some people sleep at night,” with “I hear ya babe xx.”
Insiders previously told Closer how Strictly make-up pro Lisa had been approached to write a book – and pals say she’s now seriously considering it.
FED UP
A source says, “Lisa’s still going through lots of emotions, and she’s fed up with feeling like she has to keep quiet about her feelings. She’s always wanted to write a book. She doesn’t want to come across as bitter, so she has no plans to use it as a way to get revenge on Ant. But she thinks doing a self-help book which de-mystifies the secrets of divorce and outlines how she has coped could be of benefit to others.”
Lisa has appeared to use social media to vent about her heartache, sharing thinly-veiled digs at Ant, 43, and Annemarie, 42, since her 11-year marriage ended earlier this year following his spell in rehab for drink and prescription drug issues. The divorce battle over the presenter’s fortune turned bitter, with Lisa accusing Ant of committing adultery as they were technically still married when he got together with Anne-marie.
Ant – who re-entered rehab for a second time in March – is currently focusing on his recovery, with Holly Willoughby stepping in to co-host I’m A Celeb! with Declan Donnelly. Last week, Holly’s This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield revealed Ant has been absent from their group Whatsapp and hasn’t been giving his views on the show, despite earlier reports suggesting he had.
AMBITIONS
Meanwhile, pals say Lisa – who is in an ongoing custody battle with Ant over their dog, Hurley – is looking to the future.
The source adds, “Lisa’s feeling more ambitious than ever about her career. She’s adamant she won’t be made to feel miserable any longer, and is looking forward to getting on the dating scene and putting all this behind her.”
