As hype around new talent show The Greatest

Dancer gathers pace, Cheryl has been preparing to join the panel with co-judges Matthew Morrison, Oti Mabuse and Alesha Dixon.

But while she appeared thrilled to announce her new role on the show when she Tweeted about the “exciting news” in August, insiders reveal she’s secretly concerned about a historic feud with Alesha.

Their spat dates back to 2010, when BGT judge Alesha’s ex-husband, MC Harvey, claimed that he and Cheryl had a fling following the breakdown of her marriage to Ashley Cole. The claims were later proved to be false, with Cheryl filing a lawsuit over the story, but sources say there’s still tension between the two stars.

An insider reveals, “Cheryl and Alesha don’t really get on, so there’s going to be some friction there. It may be a new project for her, but it looks like she’ll suffer similar issues to those she had on the X Factor panel. Cheryl didn’t get on with Dannii Minogue when they were co-judges, and it appears it could well be the same with Alesha.”

RIFT

Cheryl, mum to 20-month-old son Bear with ex Liam Payne, also famously fell out with Alesha’s best friend and BGT co-judge Amanda Holden in 2015, following a disagreement over whether body-shaming should be made illegal or not, which hasn’t helped to repair the rift. That same year, Amanda said she “hates” Cheryl after a joke call from radio presenter Nick Grimshaw claiming Cheryl would place Amanda on BGT.

The source adds, “The history between them makes it quite hard, and no one is really sure how it’s going to play
