What changes have you made to your diet?
Around a year ago, I started following a vegan diet. I didn’t eat red meat anyway, and I’m intolerant to dairy, so I’ve been having almond and coconut milk for the past five years.
How did it go?
I lost 5lbs, and my body feels a lot tighter. I don’t feel lethargic any more, my energy levels have soared, and my sugar cravings have disappeared.
Where do you shop?
Ben [Cohen, boyfriend, who still eats meat] and I love the Tesco Finest range. I also spend lots of time in the “free from” aisles at Tesco – it’s where I get all my vegan sauces.
Describe your daily diet...
Breakfast is avocado on rye bread with chia seeds, or porridge. Lunch would be soup, or a Quorn stir fry. Dinner is roasted vegetables with vegan sausages, or a vegan or Portobello mushroom burger with lots of salad, or a homemade Thai curry. I snack on apples, mangos and bananas, and also nuts.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve eaten?
I once ate snails in France. They just tasted like the garlic butter they were in, and I think anything tastes incredible in garlic butter!
What would you cook to impress someone?
A Russian dish that layers chopped potatoes, onions, minced meat, mayo and cheese.
Food hangover cure?
My mum always says Russian Borscht is the best hangover cure – a hearty soup, with lots of vegetables.
