Jordan plots to reunite with Peter after “year from hell”

She’s kicked off the new year with a fresh legal battle after crashing her signature pink Range Rover following a five-day bender in October. Now pals say Jordan – who faces drink-driving charges in court in early January – has vowed to change her life, after making a promise to her terminally ill mum, Amy.
Insiders reveal Jordan, 40 – real name Katie Price – is hellbent on a new start and is even considering a return to rehab after a turbulent 12 months, which included narrowly avoiding bankruptcy, a bitter split from third husband Kieran Hayler and a shocking cocaine admission following a spate of wild partying.
DISTRESSED
A source says, “Katie has had the year from hell and it’s been particularly distressing for her to see the effect it has had on her mum. After a recent heart-to-heart, Katie promised to get more rehab treatment, including intensive at-home therapy to cure her of her addiction issues.
“Katie adores her mum and the last thing she wants is to put her through more stress as her health declines. She’s determined to finally beat her demons and has told pals she’ll do whatever it takes to ensure her mum sees her happy, healthy and settled before it’s too late.”
Jordan – who received a parking ticket days after being charged with being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle – was treated in The Priory last September for post-traumatic stress disorder, reportedly brought on by the stress of her marriage breakdown and her mum’s terminal lung condition. But following the 28-day stint, her life has continued to unravel.
And insiders say part of Jordan’s plan for a new beginning hinges on a reunion with ex-husband Peter Andre.
Closer recently reported how the mum of five – who saw her children, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, temporarily move in with her ex in the midst of her troubles – had reached out to Pete, 45, in an attempt to build bridges. Pete responded to speculation surrounding where the children would spend Christmas with a Tweet confirming they would be celebrating with their mum.
The source says, “Everyone knows Katie’s fixated with Pete, so every time she senses an olive branch, she grabs hold of it and starts imagining various scenarios. Katie was buoyed by Pete’s reaction and has suggested meeting up in the new year so they can talk everything through and build a proper friendship.
HOSTILITY
“She thinks that if she can get rid of the hostility between them once and for all, it’ll show she’s back in a good place and that she’s not a failure in every area of her life. Her happiest time was being married to Pete and she feels that if she can just replicate even a tiny part of that happiness with him as friends, she’ll know she’s back on the right track.”
And pals say Jordan – who also has Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with Kieran, as well as 16-year-old Harvey from a fling with footballer Dwight Yorke – is already plotting how she can reap the benefits of a reconciliation.
The source says, “Katie’s been telling friends that she believes this is the year she’ll get Pete back in her life and have him on her side. Bizarrely, she’s even been dreaming up potential work opportunities for the two of them, including a joint reality show based around the idea of their extended family.”
DOWNSIZING
Meanwhile, pals say the former glamour model – who was once reported to be worth £45m – has also made a promise to on/ off flame Kris Boyson to get a grip on her spending, clearing the way for her to focus on a future with the personal trainer.
The source says, “Katie’s finally started to realise just how serious her financial situation is and she’s promised to make some serious changes to the way she lives – downsizing her house, trading in her luxury cars and scaling back on holidays and designer clothes.
“Kris has arranged for her to have sessions with a money coach to help her get a grip on her spending. Seeing how supportive he’s been has started to open her eyes to how genuine he is. She’s desperate to wipe the slate clean and start over.”
