e returned to work H last week for the recording of new show Replay – developed by his production company, ahead of resuming presenting duties on Britain’s Got Talent later this month.

And Ant Mcpartlin, 43, looked happy and healthy – a distinct turnaround from this time last year when he announced the end of his 11-year marriage to Lisa Armstrong, 42, followed by a second stint in rehab after his drink- drive arrest, which led the TV host to take time out.

And pals tell Closer the star – whose TV co-host Declan Donnelly had taken the reins during his absence – is ready to put the nightmare behind him.

A source says, “Ant’s in the best place he’s been in in a long time and feels ready to get back to work. He’s had a huge amount of support from family and friends, including Dec, and he’s determined to prove that he’s got his life back on track.”

Ant was joined at the studios by his mum, Christine Woodhall, and girlfriend of nine months and former PA, Anne-marie Corbett, 42, who pals say have been instrumental in his recovery.

The source says, “Ant’s head over heels for AnneMarie and said he couldn’t have done it without her – it’s made them even stronger as a couple.”

Despite his fresh start, the star still has a custody battle over his dog Hurley – who he shares with Lisa – lingering over him.

The source adds, “Ant just wants to draw a line under everything as soon as possible so they can all move on. He wishes the best for Lisa and hopes she can also find happiness.”
