SINEAD HAS THE BABY ‘Daniel’s not ready!’

inead and Daniel receive the S devastating news that her cancer has grown and so she must deliver the baby, as she needs immediate radiotherapy. The factory girls swoop in for an impromptu baby shower, but poor Daniel is finding it all too much and heads out alone. Later that day, Sinead gives birth to the tiniest of tots, with Daniel by her side. But, as the baby is whisked away to neonatal, Sinead passes out. Is Daniel about to lose everything?

Back on the Street, Tim admits to Sophie that he left Duncan for dead after the conman was hit by a van, but when Sophie goes to the hospital, she is stunned to find May – aka Duncan’s secret and supposedly deceased wife, who could get Sally off the hook if she tells the truth. This prompts more prison scenes with Sal, but she’s being terrorised by Menacing Marcia and then, horrifyingly, Sal’s deranged cellmate lunges at her with a knife!

To lighten the mood, comedy this week is provided by Steve and Tracy. It’s mostly to do with Steve’s “demands for sex”, prompting a discussion about whether they should try for a baby. Amy thinks it’s a terrible idea but, well, wait until some exceedingly shocking news along those lines breaks next week… They were tricky in a technical sense, because of the incubator, and, emotionally, it was a long day. We were both ready to sleep for a week by the end!
