CHRIS PLANS £8M A-LIST WEDDING
Hollywood star H Chris Pratt revealed on Instagram last week that he’d proposed to Katherine Schwarzenegger after eight months of dating, gushing, “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!”
And sources tell Closer that Chris, 39, and Katherine, 29 – daughter of Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger and his ex-wife Marie Shriver – are already planning a lavish wedding that will be attended by a slew of A-list celebrities.
A source reveals, “Chris asked Katherine’s parents for their permission to propose and everyone is thrilled. Arnold will be walking her down the aisle and he’s already inviting his famous pals, including the likes of The Rock and Sylvester Stallone, while Chris will be inviting pals Jennifer Lawrence and Vin Diesel.
“Chris already spent a small fortune on the engagement ring, and there’s going to be no expense spared on the ceremony either. It will be held in an idyllic setting in California and the budget is upwards of £8 million.”
Chris’s ex-wife, actress Anna Faris, 42 – with whom he has six-year-old son Jack – commented on the post, writing “I’m so happy for you both!!” She even revealed on her podcast last week that she’d offered to officiate her ex’s wedding (Anna’s an ordained minister). But insiders reveal things are still tense between the former couple, who finalised their divorce last October after eight years of marriage.
The source adds, “On the surface, Chris and Anna remain very amicable, but the truth is Anna has found it hard considering she was the big star when they first met, and now his career has taken over and he’s moved on with someone much younger. Chris gave her a polite heads-up, but he’s now concentrating on his future with Katherine.”
