MY TYPICAL DAY: ‘I experiment a lot in the kitchen’
THE ALARM GOES OFF AT 6.30AM, then I chill in bed with the kids for half an hour and watch TV while they’re on the ipad. My husband Hugh [Hanley, a personal trainer] gets up at 5.30am for his morning workout, and is back at 7am to lend a hand. We’re a tag team getting the kids ready for school. I EXERCISE WHEN I GET BACK FROM THE SCHOOL RUN. I’m a personal trainer and I do a session with some mums for an hour until 10am. I try not to eat before I work out, but if I’m doing weights, I will have a protein shake or maybe some eggs. If it’s a cardio session, I’ll skip breakfast and will just have a coffee. AFTER WORKING OUT, I’LL TREAT MYSELF TO AN EGG-WHITE
OMELETTE with cheese, ham and spinach on the side. Then I’ll settle down to check my emails. I might meet my agent for lunch; I adore Nando’s but I love Wagamama too and their Bang Bang Cauliflower. If I have an event in town, I head to my hairdressers in central London.
ON A NORMAL DAY, I’LL PICK UP THE KIDS and take them to afterschool activities. But when I have a work event, it’s great to dress up.
I LOVE A GLASS OF WINE IN THE EVENING. I cook a lot and like to experiment in the kitchen. But if we’re feeling lazy, we go to our local pub for a meal. If we’re at home, we watch Netflix’s psychological thriller You. We always go to bed at 10.15pm and I’ll reply to any Whatsapp messages I’ve missed in the day. Michelle is supporting Darceysdream.com
