Is surgery behind these celebs’ 10-year transformations?

The 10-Year Challenge trend has swept social media, with stars posting “before” and “after” shots over a decade to show their beauty evolution. And with the recent rise in surgery and fillers, it’s not surprising some of them look drastically different. Closer asks top surgeon Mark Ho-asjoe if it’s just the result of ageing, or if he believes they’ve had a little help… ‘I suspect Michelle’s had a lot of filler’

She’s been the subject of surgery speculation for years – despite Michelle Keegan, 31, only admitting to having her brows microbladed. But Mark says, “Michelle looks as though she’s had a lot of filler in her face. In the first pic, her eyes are horizontal, even though she’s smiling, and in the second they go up in the corners. I suspect this is due to fillers, anti-wrinkle treatment or maybe an eyebrow lift.”

‘Megan’s nose seems pointier’

She’s gone from teenage hopeful on BGT to mouthy reality star, but that’s not all that’s changed about Megan Mckenna, 26. She has admitted to lip fillers, but Mark adds, “It looks to me like Megan has altered her nose. It was curved before, but now there is a little point, which can be achieved with extended rhinoplasty. Her lips are also now around triple the size – and I think she’s gone too far.”

‘Who knows what Kylie will look like in future’

She was forced to admit to having lip fillers at just 17 – insisting, “It’s just an insecurity of mine.” And Mark believes, that while 21-year-old Kylie Jenner’s face has changed, this will primarily be down to growing up. He says, “Kylie has had fillers – but I don’t think she’s had other facial surgery. She was only a child ten years ago and your face changes in your teens. But who knows what she’ll look like in years to come.”

‘Renée’s new image isn’t down to weight’

Renée Zellweger’s changing face has shocked fans over the years, but the actress, 49, has denied surgery, saying, “I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life.” Yet Mark says, “It looks like Renée’s had anti-wrinkle treatment, fillers and maybe a face lift. Her fluctuating weight could have affected her face, but her skin is too taught for this to be the sole reason.”

‘Chloe could end up ruining her face’

Model and reality star Chloe Khan, 26, rose to fame on The X Factor Fact in 2009, but now looks dramatically different. Chloe – who’s spent up to £50K on procedures, including two nose jobs, chin and jaw fillers, teeth veneers and anti-wrinkle treatment – previously told Closer, “I’m happy to look like a Barbie doll and I enjoy it… getting surgery is just like going for dinner.” But Mark warns, “Chloe’s only young, but she’s had a hell of a lot of surgery. She’s at risk of getting addicted and could end up ruining her looks for good.”

‘Bella’s nose has been straightened’

As one of the world’s most famous models, Bella Hadid, 22, is renowned for her striking face – but it may not be all down to genes. While she’s denied having work done, Mark says, “I think Bella has had fillers around her cheeks and lips. But her nose is the biggest change – she has likely had rhinoplasty to straighten it.”
