Charlotte: “I feel sorry for Vicky”

Charlotte Crosby opens up about Vicky Pattison’s recent fat-shaming scandal, her weight-loss demons and quitting surgery – for now…

They rose to fame side-byside on Geordie Shore, but Charlotte Crosby and Vicky Pattison later fell out after they launched rival weightloss DVDS and they have exchanged insults over the years.

But since Vicky was recently fat-shamed for looking dramatically different in paparazzi pictures to the shots she posts on Instagram, Charlotte, 28, says she now feels sympathy for her former nemesis.

Charlotte tells Closer, “I know how it feels for Vicky. I’ve been papped on the beach looking awful when I was bigger years ago. It isn’t nice to sit there feeling worried about how you look on the beach, so I feel sorry for her. I know I’m not perfect, but I’ve never pretended to be. I don’t try to pretend I’m someone I’m not. Always trying to pretend you’re perfect can have a really negative effect.”

PAST FEUD

Charlotte and Vicky – who both dated former TOWIE star Stephen Bear – reportedly began their feud after Vicky, 31, accused Charlotte of copying her career, previously saying, “You’d have to be blind not to notice that Charlotte is emulating parts of my career. She’s done a fitness DVD like me and gone on Ex On The Beach like I did last year.”

And last year, fans claimed Vicky had made an apparent dig at Charlotte’s fitness DVD, titled Three Minute Belly Blitz, saying, “You can’t lose 3st in three minutes.”

Charlotte hit back by retorting, “Well she had an exercise DVD that said 7 Days Slim. You definitely can’t have a slim body after seven days. I am sure Vicky just got confused.”

Charlotte’s more tight-lipped when it comes to plastic surgery. While she’s famed for her love of cosmetic enhancements – and has had a nose job, breast implants, lip fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments – Charlotte refuses to talk about the work she’s had done. However, she reveals she has “no plans for any more at the minute” – adding, “Whatever people say about the way I look, I don’t really care.”

The reality star slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 8 in 2014 after discovering healthy eating and exercise, and admits her weight fluctuates, but she’s the happiest in her body that she’s ever been.

HAPPY & HEALTHY

She says, “I’m content. Christmas was obviously Christmas – it’s delicious food, cosy evenings, treats and comforts. But I don’t put pressure on myself these days. I’m back into my healthy eating and exercise routine now and I feel great. My weight will always fluctuate – no one can stay at a constant size all the time, it’s impossible. But I feel happy and healthy.”

Charlotte also credits her relationship with Joshua Ritchie, whom she’s been dating for over a year, with making her feel fulfilled.

She says, “In the past, I’ve just gone for the wrong person and I’ve been broken down by them. I didn’t think people like Josh existed. I didn’t think a boy could be loyal!”
