LISA ‘DREADING’ ANT’S ENGAGEMENT NEWS
His romance with girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett continues to go from strength to strength, following their recent half-term holiday with her kids, as well as being regularly seen out with their new Maltipoo puppies. But sources say Ant Mcpartlin’s PDAS with Anne-marie, 42, are making ex-wife Lisa Armstrong prepare for the worst as she fears they could make an engagement announcement soon. A pal says, “Lisa is dreading Ant telling the world he’s planning to marry Anne-marie. It’s bad enough seeing them out with their dogs and on holiday, and now Lisa is just waiting for the next blow. Their mutual pals have already been trying to warn Lisa, as they all think Ant is desperate to make things official.” Ant and Lisa’s 11-year-marriage came to an end in January last year following months of speculation about their relationship. Things appeared to turn nasty when it was revealed Ant was dating their former PA Anne-marie.
Lisa, who has been rumoured to have been dating since the split, has made thinly-veiled digs at Ant by liking tweets of support from followers who’ve taken a swipe at him. And in December last year, it was revealed that she’d been axed from her job as a make-up artist on Britain’s Got Talent as producers reportedly felt working with Ant would be “untenable”.
But in recent months, Lisa has begun to turn things around by signing up for TV makeover show The Updaters and last week it was revealed she’d landed a job fronting a new campaign for make-up brand Avon.
The pal adds, “Lisa is doing everything she can to not focus her energy on Ant any more. They spent their whole marriage with him being centre stage and now it’s her time in the spotlight. She’s hoping she’ll find someone special and can finally move on.”
