RISHI’S GOT BIG NEWS!

THE YORKSHIRE RIPPER FILES: A VERY BRITISH CRIME STORY

-

Manpreet and Rishi return from M their hols and they’re chomping at the bit to share some news. They’re rudely interrupted, however, by the arrival of Manpreet’s highmaintenance daughter, Aiesha – who turns up out of the blue and announces she’s coming to live with them! Jai is NOT HAPPY (to say the least), and that’s even before he’s heard the latest Sharma-related drama. Soon, his loved-up dad manages to get a word in edgeways and drops the massive bombshell that he married Manpreet in Las Vegas on a whim. Thus, the fallout begins! Elsewhere, Tracy and Billy are in the park waiting for April, but when Tracy nips off to buy some coffees, the cops turn up to quiz Billy as someone has reported him for acting “suspiciously”. He attempts to stay calm – though he thinks it’s a case of racism – but Tracy is furious and gets herself arrested for going off on one. Back home, Jessie opens up to Marlon about the prejudices she and her family have had to face, and (angry that everyone knows what happened) Billy shoves his little bro up against a wall. Unfortunately, Tracy witnesses this and it might just be a case of “over before they’ve begun”. There’s also more stuff with Kim and Cain. Kim’s set on buying Barton’s farm, and so loiters with intent in Cain and Moira’s kitchen. Cain gets annoyed, and Kim stuns him with a revelation. Back of the net.

“We were told our mum wasn’t coming home as she had gone to Heaven.” Heartbreaking words from Richard Mccann – the son of Wilma Mccann, Peter Sutcliffe /aka The Yorkshire Ripper’s first victim. In a new series, filmmaker Liza Williams revisits the murderous spree which began in 1975.

FAMOUS CASE IS RE-EXAMINED TUE-THU 26-28 MARCH, 9PM, BBC4
