Twin brides for twin brothers:

Everything about Brittany and Briana Deane is the same. So the sisters were determined to find matching husbands too!

“People always ask us if we swap husbands”

❛ WE WANT TO BE PREGNANT AT THE SAME TIME AND RAISE OUR CHILDREN TOGETHER ❜

Brittany and Briana Deane have always done everything together, so it was no surprise that the identical twins grew up dreaming of marrying matching husbands.

Their family and friends warned them it may never happen. But last year, the siblings defied the odds and walked down the aisle with their identical twin husbands, Jeremy and Josh Salyers, 35. Now, all four of them plan to live together and raise a family.

Briana, 33, from Virginia, says, “Our fantasy has always been to marry identical twin brothers, be pregnant at the same time and raise our children together. As we got into our 20s and 30s, we started to wonder if it was unrealistic, but now we’ve found our identical Prince Charmings – it’s a dream come true.”

Growing up, Brittany and Briana were identical in every way – they could finish each other’s sentences and got exactly the same grades at school. They also sometimes struggled with dating.

Brittany says, “We have such a close bond and, as identical twins, it was always very hard dating non-twins. Having a twin means you have someone who completely understands how you think and feel without having to say a word. When we were younger, we even shared the same bed and had the same dreams. But some guys didn’t understand the bond between us and occasionally there was jealously – as we already had another half. So marrying identical brothers was something we used to dream about as

little girls.”

HANDSOME

But the pair couldn’t find the perfect male twins.

Brittany says, “We knew the chances were incredibly scarce. The stars had to align for our dreams to come true.”

But they were determined. And after visiting a twin convention in Twinsburg, Ohio, in August 2017, their luck changed.

Brittany says, “I spotted Josh and Jeremy at a twin party on the last day of the convention and squeezed Briana’s wrist – which is what we do when we’re really excited. I saw these two amazingly handsome young men that looked to be about our age. They were stunning.”

And there was an instant attraction between the siblings.

Josh says, “We asked for a picture with them, but we thought they were way out of our league.”

Jeremy adds, “The next day, we sent them a message saying it was great to meet them and that we’d love to see them again at next year’s festival. They said, ‘Why wait?’”

So, two days later, the boys drove eight hours from their home in Tennessee to meet up with Brittany and Briana in Virginia. The two couples got on so well that they began to see each other regularly. Both Josh and Jeremy proposed to Brittany and Briana respectively on 2 February 2018 – specifically choosing the date because it abbreviates to 2-2.

Brittany says, “Without meaning to, we paired off

in birth order. Me and Josh are the youngest and formed a couple, while Jeremy and Briana are the eldest and are also in a relationship.

forever

“We are religious, so chose to wait until after we got married to have sex.

“Briana and I have done so much together in life. So having the loves of our lives, who are also twins, and accepting their marriage proposals at the same time made it even more special. We both have the same engagement rings in the shape of a double infinity sign. It represents two forevers. It’s perfect.”

The girls found wedding planning together was “extremely fun and peaceful”, as they both have exactly the same tastes – and have only ever disagreed over what cereal to eat.

The twins decided to get married at the Twins Day Festival 2018, where they had met a year earlier, and both Brittany and Briana wore identical satin wedding gowns. They titled their big day, “Twice upon a time”. And a procession of 14 twins walked down the aisle first, before the couples tied the knot side-by-side. They were even married by identical twin ministers.

dream Come true

Briana says, “It was a dream come true. We’ll never forget hearing that we’d both become Mrs Salyers.”

Following the wedding, the couples plan to move in together and hope to start their families under one roof.

Briana says, “We want to be pregnant at the same time and raise our children together. We really want to stay on the same page in life. Being pregnant at different times would be difficult – we’d be different weights and experiencing different things. It would be so hard.”

Brittany adds, “Our children will be genetic siblings because we share DNA, and so do Josh and Jeremy. So even though they’re cousins, we imagine it will be like having two mums and two dads all raising our families together.”

But the twins admit they sometimes face backlash over their future plans.

Jeremy says, “People are OK with us being in relationships, but when you talk about living together, they’re a littl taken aback because they think it’s so out of the ordinary.”

And Briana explains, “It used to be normal for people to stare at me and Brittany, but now there are four of us going out together, it’s 10 times worse. People often ask if we ever switch partners romantically, but we think it’s weird that that thought even crossed their minds.”

And the lovers couldn’t imagine living their lives any other way.

Brittany says, “We can’t wait to see what the future holds. I’m sure we have lots of twin adventures ahead of us. We’ve all had our Twice Upon A Time, now we’re ready for our happily ever after.”
