Regrets and painful lessons

Roxanne Pallett described herself as “the most hated girl in Britain”, after falsely accusing Ryan Thomas of punching her in the ribs in the CBB house last August. As he broke down, fearing his innocent playfulness had wrecked his life, 25,000 people complained to Ofcom, and Roxanne left the house in disgrace. After an initial apology, she went into hiding, fearing she was “more hated than a murderer”. Now, nearly a year on, she’s confided in Closer about the most controversial period in her life, and the fallout which – at her lowest point – made her wish she was no longer alive. Revealing that months of therapy have helped her understand her insecurities, Roxanne says now that she believes she has become the “best version of herself”. We all make mistakes – so only time will tell whether Roxanne gets her second chance and triumphs over the scandal .
