‘If she steps out of line she could go to jail’

-

Divorce and family lawyer Vanessa Lloyd Platt tells Closer that the restraining order given to Jordan was at the extreme end of the scale. She says, “A five-year restraining order is an extremely serious punishment – it’s almost unheard of for a judge to issue this, especially as the harassment was non-violent. Usually a punishment of this severity would have followed a case of actual physical harm or continued violent harassment. The altercation was in the playground in front of young children, so it may have been taken more seriously. Katie will now have to behave very carefully indeed and rein herself in. Any step out of line could see her back in court or even committed to prison. However, if she is well-behaved, the restraining order may be shortened.”
