‘DOGS WILL ALWAYS STICK BY YOU’

Dog owners tend to be “happier, healthier and wealthier”, apparently. I’ve always loved dogs, and can’t imagine living without one. I’m feeling happier and fitter since my Shih Tzu puppy Betty Boo entered my life – I make sure I spend time out and about with Her beloved Shih Tzu her everyday. But I’m definitely not Betty Boo wealthier! Dogs can be expensive, and the decision to get one shouldn’t be made lightly. On a down day, Betty Boo is the only reason I get out of bed, to let her outside. I had a Bichon Frise called Hudson for 17-and-a-half years. When my husband Brian died in 2007, Hudson would lie on my bed and lick the tears off my face when I was crying in my sleep. I never felt alone when he was there.
