5 MINUTES WITH...
Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan, going up against each other in this year’s star-studded Soccer Aid match, are all kitted out and ready to go...
What are you looking forward to? SUSANNA, 48:
I’m most looking forward to seeing the look on Piers’ face when the England Soccer Aid team has beaten him! PIERS, 54: I can’t wait to join Harry Redknapp on the touchline, to co-manage the team. Despite the fact that he once managed Spurs, Harry is one of the greats in football and with a little help from me,
I think the players will drive us to a victory. We have a superb team – how can we lose?
Why did you want to take part? PIERS: I’m delighted to have finally got the call to be involved. This is a great way to raise a lot of money and, given my football expertise, I’m hoping to do better than Arsenal did last season and bring home a trophy.
What type of manager do you think you’ll be?
SUSANNA: I’ll be motivational – I’ll try to bring out the best in my players, focusing on their
strengths. No unnecessary hairdryer treatment – unlike some people!
Piers, would you agree?
PIERS: I think Susanna will be too soft, and worry about how the players are feeling, whereas I will be pushing my team to win. Losing is not an option, and
I look forward to having bragging rights over Susanna for at least a year!
Susanna, you must be looking forward to going head to head against Piers?
Yes! But not if he wins. He’ll be insufferable...!
