THE STORY Cousins Vincent (Eisenberg) and Anton (Skarsgård) race to build a long-distance fibre-optic cable across the US countryside, to make their millions by receiving vital financial information a millisecond before anyone else.

THE VERDICT It’s a somewhat bizarre premise – so bizarre you could be forgiven for thinking it’s based on a true story. But despite Eisenberg’s energetic performance, speeding up the flow of stock market information as a way to get rick quick makes for humdrum viewing.
