Troubled Jordan plots to use her recent bankruptcy and her mum’s terminal illness to make ex-husband Peter Andre agree to a festive get-together

They’ve famously been at war since their bitter 2009 split, with a drawn-out court battle, cheating claims, sex slurs, and a barrage of public spats – all amid custody issues over their two children, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11.
And earlier this month, insiders told Closer that Jordan was plotting revenge on Peter Andre, as she’d hatched a plan to wreck his Christmas by spilling their secrets.
But pals say that after Pete, 46, appeared to offer an olive branch by revealing on social media that the pair are still on speaking terms and that he wishes her “nothing but the best”, Jordan – real name Katie Price – was shocked into making a dramatic U-turn.
The source says, “Katie was completely blindsided when she saw what Pete had written. She admitted it made her realise the best way forward is to try to make peace and apologise, rather than constantly trying to twist the knife and get one up on him, which is tiring her out.”
MAKING AMENDS
Pete’s comments came as a surprise, given that, just a week earlier, recently bankrupt Jordan, 41, publicly blamed him for the loss of her £45m fortune and branded him “the worst person ever” in a drunken rant on her YouTube channel. The claim was followed by her threatening to expose anyone who’s crossed her.
The life of the former glamour model has careered off the rails following her split from third husband Kieran Hayler, 32, last year, with a spate of wild partying, a shocking cocaine confession, a rehab stint for treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, a string of court cases and driving convictions, plus claims she had cheated on her on/off fiancé, Kris Boyson, 31. However, pals say she wants to use Christmas as an opportunity to finally make amends with Pete, who also shares two children with his wife, Emily MacDonagh, 30.
A source says, “Katie has
grown fed-up of being at war with Pete, and constantly watching everything he does so she can find something to lash out at him about. She says it’s tiring. She was stunned by what he said on Instagram – she took it as an olive branch. Underneath all her bitterness, she has only ever wanted for them to be one happy family.
VULNERABLE
“Now her mind is racing ahead, and she’s sure that being in a vulnerable position with her financial problems will help her appeal to Pete’s sympathetic side. She thinks if she can make him feel sorry for her, then he’ll be more open to them spending time together over Christmas. She’s invited him and Emily and their kids to join her for an early Christmas a few days beforehand at her brother’s house with all her family, as well as Princess and Junior.” Jordan and Pete have had an on/off friendship over the past decade. Following her wild behaviour last summer, Junior and Princess moved in with Pete and Emily.
However, shortly afterwards, Jordan made the surprise move of publicly apologising to the man she’s repeatedly referred to as “the love of my life” on Twitter, saying, “Me and Pete love each other really lol! I’m sorry @MrPeterAndre if I hurt you.” Pete replied, “Do you
know what, I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you.”

Amy, to persuade Pete to accept her invitation.
In a recent radio interview, the reality star said, “I’m having a month off over Christmas because I want to enjoy it, as my mum is really ill. So, I want to spend time with her – this is the first year I won’t cook Christmas dinner. I’ve told mum she has to do it.”
REDEEMING
The source says, “After everything with Pete over the last year, she just wants to redeem herself and see her family happy, telling Pete that seeing their parents getting along will be the ultimate gift to their kids. She has told him it could be her mum’s last Christmas and it would be a parting gift for Amy to see them getting along again, as it’s her dying wish to see Katie more settled and happy.
“After plucking up the courage to ask him, she said it would also be an opportunity to start paving the way for a more amicable friendship, as well as a way to start co-parenting – which she knows he wants.”
Amid her attempts to reconcile with Pete, Jordan has also reunited with Kris once again, joining the personal trainer on a trip to New York in a bid to spend quality time together and escape her financial woes, after admitting she’s no longer living in her “mucky” £2m mansion.
And insiders say she is hellbent on making 2020 the year that will mark a new beginning for her and Pete.
The source adds, “Katie’s sick of being at war with everyone. She says she’d be far happier and content being on good terms. While she understands her gesture to Pete may be a little too late, she’s determined to prove how much he means to her. She wants to work on ensuring next Christmas is different and they can spend it together in a happier place.”
