‘Babies are addictive – I want another one for 2020’

Next year is going to be a busy one for pregnant Casey Batchelor, who’s already planning a third child before she marries fiancé Dane Goodson

She’s not even given birth to her second baby yet – due at the end of January – but Casey Batchelor, who has 19-month-old daughter Florence with fiancé Dane Goodson, is already planning for the next one in

2020. As she poses for Closer’s Christmas shoot, the Celebrity Big Brother star admits she’s ready for one more before she ties the knot with businessman Dane.

“It will be lovely when the second baby comes,” Casey says. “When there’s another one, it will feel like more of a family. They are so difficult, and I always think I can’t have another baby. But then

I’m like, ‘Should we have another one?’ They become a bit addictive!”

“We’re having a girl this time, but if we had a boy next I think we’d stop. But then Dane said the other day that if we did have a boy, he’d want to try for a brother, otherwise he’ll be in a house full of girls. I think another baby might be on the cards in 2020 – maybe.”

Casey, 35, is having a hectic time in the build-up to the new year, juggling a house move to Hertfordshire, being heavily pregnant, and running after a toddler. But she’s taking it all in her stride. “I’m juggling a lot. We’ve finally found a house. It’s taken so long! We should be exchanging and moving in the first two weeks of January, and then, the week after, the baby’s here. So the two most stressful things at once. Actually, three: Christmas, moving, baby – and all within a few weeks!

“It took us a little while, but now we’ve found somewhere. But literally, as the baby is due, we’ll be moving in! It’ll be nice – new year, new home, new baby. Everything will be new. This year, all I wanted was a house – and now we’re about to move in. Last January, we got engaged. I’m feeling really lucky and happy.”

CHRISTMAS MAGIC

With so much going on, Casey is putting the usual Christmas traditions on hold until next year, when the family of four are all settled into their new home. She’s even debated whether or not to put up her Christmas tree. “Last year, Flo was a bit too young. But this year I’ll probably do the mince pie and carrot by the fire for Father Christmas. Will I put a Christmas tree up or not…? I’ve got to pack everything up, and it’s just another thing to do. The whole house is going to be full of boxes everywhere.

“With me packing and moving and being pregnant, I’ve just got too many things to think about. Even the elf on the shelf is difficult. I’ve got enough stress at the minute. Next year I’ll do it. It’ll be fun.

“I feel like, with having children, it brings the whole magic back to Christmas. When you get older, it can get a bit boring – you go round to family homes, everyone eats too much, drinks too much and falls asleep, and they’re snoring on the sofa by the afternoon. Having children brings that magic back.”

Celebrations for this Christmas are already planned and Casey, Dane and Florence will be temporarily escaping the chaos of moving by visiting family this year.

“Christmas is always really busy and
