‘We’ll eat turkey on the beach!’
Sam Faiers tells Closer about going away for the festive season and her plans to marry abroad
She always looks at home on the beach, regularly sharing bikini selfies and snaps of her exotic holidays with fans on social media. So it’s no surprise that Sam Faiers is spending this Christmas abroad with her boyfriend Paul Knightley and their children, Paul Jr, three, and Rosie, two.
“We’re going away this year,” she tells Closer. “Just me, Paul and the kids. We went away for the first time last year and we loved it so much we’re going this year as well. It’ll be a beach Christmas, but it’s nice. They still do Santa Claus, you still have turkey, it’s the same – just on the beach!”
TIME OFF
Last year, the family jetted off to the Maldives for the holidays. And the festive season is always a special time for them, as Paul Jr’s birthday falls on 29 December, just two days s before Sam’s birthday on New Year’s Eve.
“To spend quality time with my family is all I want – me, Paul and the kids,” Sam explains. “I work really hard – pretty much every day of the year, so when I want to treat myself, it’s always on holidays.”
Sam, 28, rose to fame in 2010 after starring on TOWIE. She now stars in The Mummy Diaries alongside her sister Billie, 29, who married long-term partner Greg Shepherd during a lavish wedding in the Maldives in March.
Sam is also hoping for a proposal during her holiday, previously telling Closer,
“Hopefully we’ll marry within the next year – I want a big family and more kids. I’ve always wanted to get married abroad, maybe in Europe. Paul has a small family, so I don’t think we’ll have as many guests as Billie and Greg had at their wedding.”

Sam pulled a prank proposal on boyfriend Paul in Dubai last year, where she went for a dive and held up a sign to Paul that read, “Will you… make me dinner?” which aired on The Mummy Diaries. He admitted he’d have said “no” and his reluctance to pop the question has been an ongoing storyline in the show. When asked if they’d marry before having more kids, Sam said, “Yes, if we get engaged. I’m just so busy juggling everything at the moment, which hasn’t put me off having more – but it has made me think, not yet! I’ll wait until Rosie and Paul are both in school.”
