THRILLED KERRY’S MARRIAGE U-TURN
After previously vowing she’d never walk down the aisle again, insiders say Kerry Katona is more loved-up than ever and opening up to the idea of a fourth wedding
WITH EACH PASSING WEEK, THEIR RELATIONSHIP JUST GETS STRONGER
She was adamant that tying the knot was no longer on her agenda, previously telling Closer that she’d “done the whole marriage thing”. But with Kerry Katona currently more loved-up than ever with boyfriend-of-two-years Ryan Mahoney, insiders say that the mum of five is thinking about making a U-turn on her vow to never get married again.
Kerry, 39, has been flooding her social media with gushing posts about personal trainer Ryan as the pair enjoyed a luxury holiday in the Maldives. The star even cheekily suggested he “get down on one knee” as pictures emerged of the pair kissing and cuddling as they lapped up the sunshine.
HEARTFELT TALKS
Now insiders say that Kerry has come round to the idea of getting hitched again. A source says, “They’ve been in one of the most romantic spots in the world and of course it led to a lot of heartfelt talks between them about the future.
“Kerry literally couldn’t be happier now. After months of swearing off the idea of marrying again, she’s now beginning to wonder whether, actually, it would be the perfect thing for her and Ryan to take that step as, in many ways, it feels so right. She’s been amazed by her feelings for him – with each passing week their relationship just gets stronger. ”
Kerry’s change of heart comes after she previously rubbished claims about wanting to wed for a fourth time, after three failed marriages to Westlife singer Brian McFadden, taxi driver Mark Croft and rugby player George Kay, who tragically died from a drug overdose last year.
Speaking last year, the former Atomic Kitten singer – who has children Molly and Lilly with Brian, Max and Heidi with Mark, and daughter Dylan-Jorge from her marriage to George – said, “We’ve been together for a year and a half and I’m normally pregnant, engaged, married and divorced by now. It’s different this time, there’s no rush for anything”.
She added, “And you know what? Marriage and babies actually scare me now. I’m happy with how things are.”
But Kerry has had an incredible transformation since last year – looking sensational in a bikini after a diet and fitness overhaul, finding faith in
God, and studying to become a counsellor. She recently admitted to Closer that she feels “the best she’s ever felt”, partly thanks to Ryan’s influence.
And friends say that while she wants Ryan in her life forever, in some ways she is “torn”, due to feeling apprehensive about the potential of another failed marriage. The source says, “Kerry has realised that Ryan is a keeper – she relies on him and he treats her so well. He’s not putting any pressure on her to get married as he’s very relaxed about the whole thing and is happy to go with the flow.
“She can definitely imagine herself spending the rest of her life with Ryan. The kids adore him, her family love him, and he’s with Kerry because of who she is, not what she might be able to provide for him or as a stepping stone to fame.
But she’s still feeling a bit torn. Marriage has ended in disaster three times before and she doesn’t want the same to happen with Ryan.”
Closer reported last week that Ryan will be moving in with Kerry upon their return to the UK – and after pictures emerged of the pair moving boxes into her new home,
Kerry was forced to defend herself and Ryan when trolls criticised her for “moving too quick” with another man.
She hit back saying, “I’ve been with Ryan for almost 2 years! And I’m NOT bankrupt!!!!!!! I am a bloody great mother!!!!!!! And if I hadn’t of married 3 different men I wouldn’t have the most amazing 5 beautiful babies I have! [sic].”

And friends say the nasty online comments have only spurred her on to prove them wrong. The source says, “Kerry’s been doing great lately. She’s glowing on her health kick, the kids are settled and they have a lovely new home. But she knows that a lot of people are waiting for her to fall down again. She’d love nothing more than to stick two fingers up at the haters and show how after all she has been through that she has found the man of her dreams and is happy.”
And friends wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan may be planning a shock proposal within months. The insider adds, “Kerry turns 40 soon and a lot of friends think Ryan will pop the question before that. They have a couple of romantic breaks already booked for the summer, which could provide the perfect moment for him to get down on one knee. A lot of Kerry and Ryan’s pals wouldn’t be surprised to see them engaged by the summer. They just want to see them both happy.”
