They only celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last month, but Jamie and Rebekah Vardy are already planning to renew their vows, complete with a lavish garden party for their friends and family, at their £1million Leicester mansion.
The loved-up couple – who share Sofia, six, Finley, three, and five-month-old Olivia, as well as Rebekah, 37, having Megan, 15, and Taylor, nine, from previous relationships – are hoping to host the ceremony to mark their fifth anniversary next year. This will then be followed by a “Vardy party” – the term coined to celebrate footballer Jamie, 33, leading his team, Leicester City, to Premier League victory in 2016. A source exclusively tells Closer, “Rebekah is already very excited about it, especially because, this time round, they will have all their children there to enjoy it with them, as Finley and Olivia weren’t born when they tied the knot in 2016.
“It will be a welcome celebration for their family and friends, after this year has been so depressing due to coronavirus. It’ll definitely give Rebekah, Jamie, and their family something special to look forward to. Before lockdown, they barely ever went out partying as they are so focused on their kids, but they loved
to host at home. More than anything, though, a celebration will really show their love for each other is the real deal.”
The news comes after a source last week told Closer that the “WA Gatha Christie” drama last October – in which fellow WAG and former friend Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah’s Instagram account of being the source of stories sold to the press, which Rebekah vehemently denies – has brought the couple even closer together.
In a tribute to his wife on their recent anniversary, Jamie posted a never-before-seen image of their wedding day, writing alongside it, “You turned my chaos to calm and made me realise what love actually is. You’re my best friend, an amazing mum to our kids and I can’t actually believe that all my pestering eventually pulled you… Here’s to forever Mrs Vardy.”
