As her £1million High Court showdown with Rebekah Vardy looms, Coleen Rooney is bracing herself for intimate details about her private life with husband Wayne to be exposed.
One of the false stories Coleen infamously planted to try to identify the person she believed was leaking stories from her private Instagram account was that she was considering gender selection to have a girl. The post claimed she had flown to Mexico to consider the £8,000 treatment in August 2019, and the story appeared in a national newspaper shortly afterwards.
In the explosive public statement that followed, which saw her dubbed “Wagatha Christie” by fans, Coleen, 34, said the posts had restricted access and were only viewed by an account belonging to Rebekah – who denies the allegations and is seeking £200,000 damages for libel.
But new reports claim Coleen and Wayne, 34, fear personal details about their marriage and sex life could be aired in court if Rebekah’s lawyers quiz them about their private life as a result of the gender selection story.

A media law expert, who has experience of similar cases, tells Closer that when Coleen takes to the stand, he predicts tears, drama and stress.
