Why Kim fears her ex-BFF Larsa is out to steal her crown

As fans reel from news that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is over after 14 years, Kim’s nemesis Larsa Pippen lands her own TV show. Now Kim fears she’ll spill the famous family’s darkest secrets

Die-hard Kardashian fans were devastated last week when the family announced the end of their iconic reality show, which has charted their drama-filled lives for the past 14 years.

Kim was first to break the news that the 20th season of KUWTK – which turned the mum-of-four and her sisters, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie, plus their momager

Kris Jenner and her ex Caitlyn into global superstars – will be their last. She told her 52 million Instagram followers, “This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”

The bombshell announcement came amid reports that Kim, 39, had initiated the decision as part of a new marriage pact she made following her husband Kanye West’s recent meltdown, which she refused to share on the show.

Kim once revealed how the rapper – who suffers from bipolar disorder – “doesn’t like to film everything,” amid claims her decision to call time on her reality career was partly down to Kanye’s mental health issues. And after Kourtney, 41, quit earlier this year to focus on raising her three children – whom she shares with ex Scott Disick, 37 – and with Khloé, 36, also concerned the show may ruin her rekindled romance with Tristan Thompson, dad of her two-year-old daughter, True, pals say it was only Kris, 64, left fighting to continue.

SACRIFICE

A source says, “The girls all came to realise just how much they were sacrificing in their personal lives, and while Kris tried to persuade them to keep the show going as she fears ditching it could wreck their brand, she finally agreed their relationships had to come first.”

Pulling the plug on KUWTK had been such a guarded secret that even Caitlyn Jenner, 70 – formerly Bruce – admitted she hadn’t been informed and had only found out on the news.

But Kim herself was delivered a shock shortly after the decision had been made after learning her former BFF, Larsa Pippen, 46 – who she fell out with earlier this year – has been offered her own reality TV show.

The source says, “Kim heard Larsa was in talks for her own reality show just days after they decided to end theirs. Kim’s upset about it because if Larsa becomes a global superstar, there’s a huge possibility she could eclipse Kim, stealing her fans and her business empire.”

Kim mysteriously fell out with her closest confidante of ten years in July – with both remaining tightlipped over the reason behind their bust-up.

The pair unfollowed each other on social media amid Kanye’s public meltdown and have remained distanced, with Kim said to be upset that her other BFF, Jonathan Cheban, was spotted having lunch with Larsa in Miami last week.

Insiders say the star is petrified that her former pal – who frequently appeared in KUWTK as part of the family’s inner circle and more recently made a cameo in Netflix’s Selling Sunset – could spill the beans on their friendship.

The source says, “Larsa’s been privy to some of Kim’s darkest secrets over the years, and now she’s on a mission to become the next big reality superstar and emulate the Kardashians with her own brood, so Kim’s worried she’ll have no qualms about revealing all the juicy stories from their past now the loyalty between them has been severed – and destroy

everything Kim has worked so hard for over the years.”

Kim and Larsa’s estrangement came after Kanye took aim at the jewellery designer during one of his Twitter rants – which reportedly left Kim “distraught” after he also posted a string of damning accusations about her famous family – in which he cryptically wrote her name alongside a thinking-face emoji.

TWITTER FURY

Fans speculated he was referring to long-standing rumours that Larsa – who shares four children with her estranged ex, NBA legend Scottie Pippen, 54 – had been “friendly” with Tristan, 29, who cheated on Khloé last year with sister Kylie Jenner’s ex-best mate, Jordyn Woods.

And after Kanye furiously slammed pro-choice campaigners at a presidential rally – having tearfully confessed he wanted to abort his and Kim’s now seven-year-old daughter, North – Larsa furiously Tweeted, “If you don’t have a uterus, you shouldn’t have a say.”

She took further aim at Kim and her family by deleting every snap of her and her sisters – to whom she was also close – after unfollowing one another.

Now Kim is worried the issue could also create tension between her and Kanye.

The source adds, “Kim’s confided in Larsa about Kanye over the years, and she knows many personal details, which she worries Larsa could use to stir up trouble between them.

“Kim’s thrilled that things are back on track with Kanye, which is the reason she agreed to quit the show. It would totally destroy her if anything went wrong again. She is hoping that Larsa will still have some compassion for her and keep all their past private.”
