Lauren is ‘hoping for a lockdown baby’ with Charles
Broody Lauren Goodger is said to be making the most of the second lockdown by trying for a baby with boyfriend Charles Drury, after the pair went official last month.
The 34 year old moved Charles, who infamously enjoyed a fling with Jordan last year, into her Essex home just three weeks after they began dating.
And a source reveals that she’s overhauled her lifestyle to make her baby dream happen as quickly as possible. The insider says, “Lauren has been dreaming of babies and weddings for ages and Charles is promising her all of that. She desperately wants to try for a baby in this lockdown and has even stopped boozing as she’s pinning her hopes on making it happen.”
This summer, Lauren told Closer she wanted a baby “so badly” after joking she’d “definitely be pregnant” if she had spent lockdown with a man. She said, “Lockdown would have been the perfect time to have a boyfriend and a baby… I can’t wait to get married – I want a baby so badly. I’ve been maternal since I was 19.”
And builder Charles, 23, appears just as keen. Hitting back at a troll who slammed Lauren for “begging marriage and kids”, Charles wrote, “She might want those things, as do I, and when the time’s right who knows, they might happen.”
But Noel says the reality of life in the public eye may prove detrimental to maintaining this relationship for Lauren – who has had a failed engagement in the past to Mark Wright, and doomed romances to former jailbirds Jake McLean and Joey Morrison.
Noel explains, “Celebrities like Lauren face extra pressure with public opinion on social media and a busy work schedule that comes with an unconventional job, which all serves as a distraction to real life issues such as getting to know someone properly before settling down. Once the exciting whirlwind ends and reality kicks in, it can
cause the bubble to burst as quickly as it was blown up.”
