Perez: ‘Kim has the ambition & ego to achieve anything’
She’s one of the most famous women in the world, with 191m Instagram followers and a self-made £700m fortune.
And when her husband Kanye West announced he’d run for President earlier this year, it generated the possibility that Kim Kardashian could set foot in the White House as the First Lady of the United States.
Kim, 40 – who found fame on reality show KUWTK and has since forged multi million-pound businesses – is currently studying to be a lawyer and has donated millions to charity, as well as working on issues including homelessness and prison reform. She even visited the White House in 2019 to successfully convince Donald Trump to grant clemency to great-grandmother and former drug dealer Alice Johnson.

House ambitions earlier this year, Kim showed her support by retweeting his post with an American flag emoji. And her pal, showbiz journalist Perez Hilton, says that despite Kanye failing to make the White House this time, it could be a different story in 2024. Perez, 42, says, “It’s completely possible that Kanye could be elected president, and that Kim would be First Lady. Secretly, she’d love to make it to the White House. But she’ll want him to get his mental health in check over these next few years, so he’s taken more seriously.”
And Perez says that despite only winning 60,000 votes this time due to his late registration in the election, Kim will work harder to help him next time.
“Presidents and First Ladies do go down in history, and her drive and ego would make her want that. She’s incredibly ambitious. Plus, with her charity work and achievements in prison reform, and knowing how to connect with people, she could reach incredible heights. Kim and Meghan are two of the most powerful women in the world,so it would be a great race to watch them battle it out to get to the White House first.”
Meanwhile, PR guru Nick Ede says it’s not too late for Kim and Kanye to save their political ambitions. He says, “Over the next four years, they’ll really work on changing his image. If anyone knows what they’re doing in terms of connecting with the public, it’s Kim. She’ll want to change Kanye’s image and the way he’s thought about. She’ll make sure his bipolar is under control, and encourage him to change the way he presents his ideas and policies, so the public can relate to him and get him over the winning line.”
