‘Kris will want Kanye to keep his mouth shut’

PR and pop culture expert Nick Ede says that he believes Kim and Kanye’s differing career aspirations may have caused problems in their marriage. He predicts they’ll follow very different paths going forward.

Nick says, “Recent months have shown just how different Kim and Kanye’s agendas are. Kim rose to fame as a reality star – her popularity has been based on being relatable, positive and collaborative. And she’s recently shown she really wants to make a difference to the world through her work in the justice system and her studying to become a lawyer.

Kanye is somewhat at odds with that. In his speeches, he’s used words like “god” and “genius” to describe himself. I think his campaigns when running for president jarred with Kim and her family and what they’d worked for. It would have been embarrassing for her and I think that would have caused tension between them.

“I suspect now we’ll see Kim carry on fairly business-asusual, although I don’t doubt it’ll be really sad and hard for her. I do think Kris and the other Kardashians may be breathing a slight sigh of relief. They’ve just signed a new TV deal, too, so they’re also probably thinking this could make a good storyline for their next show! I hope Kanye takes a step back a bit, works on any issues he may have and then returns to what he’s best at – making music – rather than running away with grand plans to be President.

“I’m sure momager Kris Jenner and Kim are both scared that Kanye could reveal things about their family. She’ll probably be trying to get Kanye to sign something to keep everything confidential. He does have children with Kim, so I’m sure he doesn’t want to be too contentious – but there’ll be a fear about what might come out. So I imagine Kris and the Kardashian family will be hoping he keeps his mouth shut.”
