Crown writer Peter Morgan, had moved in with her pal Jemima Khan just weeks after their split.
Gillian, 52, and Peter, 57, had been dating for four years before reportedly splitting at Christmas, and pals say the actress is “bemused” by his new romance with their long-term friend, Jemima.
The 46-year-old socialite – who has been single since 2014, but has previously dated Hugh Grant and Russell Brand, and was married to former cricketer and now Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan – has been friends with Gillian for many years, with the pair often pictured socialising.
Peter and Gillian didn’t live together during their romance, but he and Jemima are said to already be living together, despite only dating since the start of the year.
Twice-divorced actress Gillian – who has three children from previous romances – previously spoke about her relationship with Peter, who has five children, saying, “It works so well as it is, it feels so special when we do come together.
